Welcome to Waterville Public Schools
The Waterville Public School System serves over 2,000 students of all ages in and near Waterville, Maine. Recognized as one of the city’s greatest assets, our schools engage every child in challenging, student-centered learning while providing a safe, welcoming environment for them to learn and grow.
Students are encouraged to explore interests and develop postsecondary plans through a rich, diverse curriculum and a variety of extra-curricular, performing arts, and athletic activities that prepare them for future education and employment opportunities. Waterville graduates are thriving at respected colleges and universities including Harvard, Tufts, Bowdoin, Colby, and throughout the Maine University and Community College systems. In addition, they are valuable contributors to our local community as skilled workers, business owners, public servants, and in city leadership positions.
The faculty and staff of Waterville Public Schools are comprised of caring, well-trained professionals, many of whom hold advanced degrees and advanced industry credentials. The district encourages and supports lifelong learning by providing professional development opportunities and access to continued coursework for all staff.
The facilities of Waterville Public Schools include two preschools, two elementary schools, one junior high school, one high school, an alternative high school program, a regional technical center, and a regional adult education center.
